Nestled on a peaceful ridge halfway between Vilcabamba and Malcatos is this traditional Ecuadorian style two-bedroom home built with quality construction. The home sits on 4986 square meters (1.23 acres) of land with epic views featuring the Malacatos valley to the north and the Podocarpus national park mountains to the east. You can even spot a waterfall in the distant mountains! Upon entering the home via double doors, you are met with an open-concept kitchen, living room, and dining area. Both bedrooms have large windows so you can take in the views. There is currently one large bathroom with quality fixtures. The laundry room is large enough that half of it could be made into a second bathroom. The patio outside is large enough to set up patio furniture so you can enjoy the views all day long. This home goes beyond the typical Ecuadorian home with features that add quality and convenience like hardwood doors, baseboards, moldings, granite countertops, and ample electric outlets. Throughout the home there are vaulted ceilings finished with locally-sourced pink eucalyptus wood.
